Ok, I've been having this problem for a while now, and wonder if anyone can help. I'm running microsoft 2003, and everything seems to be working fine accept for outlook. I have 3 e-mail accounts set up on there, and about a month ago, I somehow wasn't able to send anymore e-mails. I can receive mail, but not send. Everytime I do, I get a mail saying, "undelivered report" and the following message: Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

503 Valid RCPT command must precede DATA
I don't know what this means and I've looked at the options and tried fixing the outgoing server stuff. and even had a friend look at it. He didn't know what to do, neither. I dunno if uninstalling and installing all of it would help? And I tried sending mail through all 3 accounts and got the same mesages. So if you have any suggestions, please help, cause signing into the websites of these e-mail accounts are quite annoying! thanks!
Kia

I'd double check the settings of the pop3 and smtp along with its associated ports

I have an even tougher problem with outlook rofl. One of my client's computer that I built, his outlook's send button vanished. Its not in the menu bars, can't be access via keyboard commands. Everything else could be done: forward/reply/delete except for send. Weird.

That sounds like an error caused by Outlook not sending the proper commands to the mail server, Kia. Try doing a Detect and Repair (that's in the Help menu), and if that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall. RCPT means "recipient" and is the command any mail apf must send to specify who gets your email, and DATA is the command that means that the program is ready to send the data of your message.
HTH,
